EPS 564 (3)Examination of fluid behavior within a geological context. Dimensional analysis and similitude; mass, momentum and energy conservation; inviscid and viscous flows; turbulence; and thermally-driven flows. Applications to problems in the earth and environmental sciences.
Prerequisite: MATH 264 and PHYC 161.
