      Introduction

      The research mission of the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology is the study of biological structure, fundamental cellular and physiological processes and the relationship of these processes to human development and disease. There are two major research divisions within the department: (1) cancer cell biology and (2) vascular cell biology and physiology.
