Contemporary issues, trends, and ethical considerations in counseling are reviewed and critiqued. Provides an overview of the helping profession, history of the profession, professional roles, organizations, ethical and professional preparation standards, credentialing, and public policy issues.

Restriction: admitted to graduate Counselor Education program.
