English-Philosophy
Introduction
The interdepartmental English-Philosophy major is administered jointly by the English Department and the Philosophy Department. Students interested in this program should consult the Philosophy Department office. The purpose of the interdepartmental major is to develop an understanding of the history of ideas, ideals, and values; their expression in literature and philosophy; and the relation of these fields. The major serves the interests of general education and is also useful to many pre-professional students.
