Traditional Eastern Civilizations
HIST 2255 (3)This course surveys nearly all of Asia (East, South, and West) from antiquity to approximately 1600 CE. The focus is on the development of three major civilizations: Chinese, South Asian, and Islamic. Topics with comparative potential include governing institutions, social structures, economies and trade, belief systems, and artistic expressions.
