Graduate Program

The first-rate graduate education at Anderson School of Management prepares students for a new career or to advance in their current career through the integration of theory and practice relevant to business trends and market demands. In each of the immersive graduate programs, the curriculum and faculty challenge students to elevate leadership skills, innovate solutions, and translate knowledge into empowerment through outcome-focused, team-based, and practical approaches to current business issues. The diverse backgrounds of Anderson School of Management graduate students in fields both in and out of business provide a rich and dynamic educational environment. With options in a variety of content areas and classes offered both during the day and evening, there are programs to match every student interest.


Admission Information

A formal application, plus all additional admission requirements, must be submitted by all students, including graduates of the Anderson School of Management. Applications for admission are available online. A nonrefundable application fee must accompany the application. Refer to the appropriate sections of this Catalog concerning individual degree admission requirements.

GMAT Waiver Policy

Applicants to Anderson School of Management graduate degree programs may petition the Entrance and Credits Committee to waive GMAT/GRE admission requirements if the applicant has completed a graduate degree with evidence of significant quantitative or statistical coursework. The decision to waive or not waive the GMAT/GRE admission requirements rests entirely with the Entrance and Credits Committee.


Additional Information

The Seven-Year Rule

All work used to meet degree requirements for a master’s degree, including transfer credit, must be completed within a seven-year period immediately preceding the granting of the degree. Coursework older than seven years cannot be used to meet requirements for the master’s degree. Graduate units may impose stricter limitations on the time limit for completion of degree requirements.

Current Policies

This Catalog provides basic information about Anderson School graduate programs. Students admitted to the graduate program should consult the Anderson School of Management Graduate Programs Policy Manual for additional information about current policies.

Non-Degree Students

Non-degree students must petition for permission to enroll in graduate-level courses in the Anderson School of Management. Students are allowed only 6 credit hours of graduate-level coursework, after which they must be admitted to the Master of Accounting, Master of Business Administration, or the Master of Science in Information Systems and Assurance program to take additional graduate classes. Generally, students with an undergraduate degree are allowed to take Anderson School of Management graduate courses if there is space available and if the student meets the prerequisites for the course.
